Care Guide
Taking care of your Essentials pieces ensures they last longer, stay soft, and retain their beautiful colours. Our guide covers underwear, knitwear, naturally dyed fabrics, and TENCEL™/LENZING™ fibres, helping you wear your favourites season after season.
Caring for Underwear & Knitwear
Delicate garments deserve extra attention. Follow these steps for soft, comfortable and long-lasting pieces:
Hand wash or use the delicate cycle with cold water
Lay flat to dry.Never wring or squeeze
Air dry in the shade; avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading
If ironing is needed, use a silk or low-heat setting
For dresses, gently roll in a towel if wringing is necessary
Naturally Dyed Fabrics
Plant-based dyes give each piece unique character. Mindful care preserves colour and texture:
Spot clean when possible instead of frequent machine washing
Refresh with fresh air—hang outside instead of washing
Wash cold (< 30°C) with gentle, pH-neutral eco detergent
Keep brights, lights and darks separate
Avoid tumble drying; air dry in shade
Lenzing™ & TENCEL™ Care Tips
These renewable-fibre fabrics are silky soft and durable.
Treat them gently to maintain their feel and drape:
Turn garments inside out before washing

Essential Care Habits
Small, mindful choices make a big difference:
Wash only when necessary
Use mild, eco-friendly detergent
Wash inside out to preserve colour and prints
Avoid overcrowding the washing machine
Remove items promptly after the cycle to reduce wrinkles
Store clean and dry; knitwear folded, woven items hung on good-quality hangers

Our most delicate pieces need a little extra attention. Follow these steps to keep your underwear and knitwear soft, comfortable, and long-lasting.
- Hand wash or use delicate wash cycle with cold water.
- Lay flat to dry—never wring or squeeze.
- Air dry in shaded area; sunlight can cause fading.
- If ironing is needed, use the “silk” setting and warm temperature.
- For dresses: if you must wring, do so gently using a towel.
Plant-based dyes give each garment a unique character. With mindful care, these colours will stay vibrant and age beautifully.
- Spot clean where possible, rather than machine washing often.
- Fresh air does wonders—hang outside to refresh instead of washing.
- Wash cold (≤ 30°C) using gentle, pH-neutral eco detergent.
- When combining with other clothes, keep brights, lights, and darks separate.
- Avoid tumble drying; when air-drying, shade is best.
Made from renewable wood sources, these fabrics are silky soft and strong. Treat them gently to maintain their smooth feel and elegant drape.
- Turn garments inside out before washing to reduce surface friction.
- Use a delicate or “wool” wash cycle; if hand-washing, soak gently, then rinse with cold water.
- Skip bleach and fabric softeners. They degrade the fibres and the natural dye.
- Dry flat or hang in shade; do not tumble dry or expose to strong heat.
- Iron on reverse side if needed, on low to medium heat, using a cloth if available.
Small choices make a big difference. These everyday habits help your essentials stay beautiful and wearable for years to come.
- Wash only when necessary; over-washing stresses fabrics.
- Use mild detergent, ideally eco-friendly and without harsh chemicals.
- Wash inside out when possible to preserve color and print.
- Avoid overcrowding the washing machine - let clothes move freely.
- Remove items from wash immediately after cycle to reduce wrinkles.
- Store garments clean and dry; knit items folded, woven/hangable items on good hangers to avoid stretching.
